Hand Painted Wooden Owl orange

Shared Earth From: Rainbow Life

Description I have three of these in my house just so I can sing my favourite song of all time on a regular basis and banish the winter blues....'Three Little Birds' by the Great Man Himself but of course you weren't in any doubt about that. They also make great toys for imaginative and small world play ( not for the under 3's though). They are made of Albesia wood( which, of course, is sustainable and fast-growing) and is hand-painted in Bali by fairly paid workers so ticks all our boxes. Albesia Wood: It is a fast-growing tree species that can be harvested within 3-5 years. The trees can easily grow in different climates and terrains such as in the highlands and lowlands, in high rainfall areas or in areas where rainfall is low, on flat land or sloping ground, in good soil or in sandy soil. Growing Albesia trees can help reforestation of critical land, preventing soil erosion or landslides and maintaining the reserves of soil water. Most Albesia trees are planted by local farmers due to its easy growth, thus it is very sustainable and earth-friendly. Other than being sustainable, Albesia has helped as an additional income for the low-income group of people in Indonesia. This has economic benefits for the country.
